 As a woman who wants nothing but equality, I will always fight for what is definitely right. 


 For the past years, they only see us as "women" who doesn't deserve even the smallest respect, but now is the time to change what was used to be and break the cycle of discrimination against women. For we are not just the women who other people address as "weak" "can't do anything" "will never succeed" type of human. We are women with integrity and ability to lead, serve and stand for the truth. 


As we celebrate National Women's Month, I would like all of us to take this moment to show appreciation to every Juana in this world. Being a woman is not as easy as it seems to be. From having a monthly period, doing all the house chores to carrying a child is indeed not a joke. But those aren't the only reasons why I want people to give the same respect as what they give to men. It is because we truly deserve it no matter the situation is. Every woman is deserving to feel loved and respected by the people who surround them.


We are not just that 'women', because we can also do things that men can. Let us now stop belittling women and start trusting them, for the world isn't complete without them—us. 

Women are superheroes without capes, so let us give them the appreciation, respect and love that they do deserve, not just because it is being asked for, but because it is a must. 


EQUALITY SHOULDN'T BE A THING THAT IS BEING PLEASED TO HAVE, IT SHOULD BE NATURALLY GIVEN TO ALL. 

LET US CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF EVERY JUANA WITHOUT ANY DISCRIMINATION OR HUMILIATION!

  HALFWAY THROUGH SUCCESS  Looking back on this 2nd quarter journey, I really had a roller-coaster of emotion. VAWC: TIME TO RAISE AWARENESS THROUGH ADVOCACY In our society, cases of abused women and children has exploded over the years.  More than 70% of sexually abused children are between 10 and 18 years old. Among those victims, 20% are under 6 years old. Cases of child sexual abuse are one of the most common issues that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has to handle after abandonment and neglect.  Despite the Anti-Rape Law of 1997, rape remains the most frequent type of sexual abuse, followed by incest and fondling. 98% of rape victims are women. The incest percentage is another alarming data: 33%. ● 98% of these sexually abused children are girls. The 2015 Child Protection Network Annual Report states that 87% of all cases of sexual violence are girls, 11.7% of which occurred in the family home.
