ISNHS' 123rd colorful year 🏳️‍🌈

 Celebrating the foundation day of our beloved Ilocos Sur National High School has been one of my most favourite thing to do in every school year. It is not just a simple day for me because this day has been my constant reminder about the importance of showing our love for the school and acknowledging how the ISNHS continued to grow and become a better school— second home, for every student. By this, we are also showing respect to where we have built our selves for the past years. 

 Just like last year, we had our field demo which was indeed exhausting because of the everyday practice in the middle of the field while the sun is literally burning me and my poor skin. But, it was alsoo filled with soooo much fun! I am happy that I got to dance again with all the Grade 10 girliesss and for the second time, we have proven that we aren't just the 'bare-minimum'.



 We may not have won the title but I am sure that we got the hearts of many in this performance. We stood for the rights of everyone, with our flags—proudly raised, and this is the real definition of a winner. The ones who aren't afraid to speak up and fight for those who cannot. 


 After the performance, we went straight to our Club Booth and spent the rest of our day selling our crocheted products. This is in collaboration with the ISNHS SSLG and other organizations. It wasn't as successful as we thought it would be but it definitely is worth the efforts and hardwork of every club officer. 





 This year's High School Day is another 'for keep' memory that'll forever be kept in my heart. For as long as I am here, I will always stand with pride and will proudly celebrate every Foundation Day of Ilocos Sur National High School. This has been my second home for the past 4 years and I have learned soo muchhh valuable things inside this school. So, in return, I will always show how grateful I am that this school does exists and it is truly the best among the rest. To more years to celebrate, ISNHS!

  HALFWAY THROUGH SUCCESS  Looking back on this 2nd quarter journey, I really had a roller-coaster of emotion. VAWC: TIME TO RAISE AWARENESS THROUGH ADVOCACY In our society, cases of abused women and children has exploded over the years.  More than 70% of sexually abused children are between 10 and 18 years old. Among those victims, 20% are under 6 years old. Cases of child sexual abuse are one of the most common issues that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has to handle after abandonment and neglect.  Despite the Anti-Rape Law of 1997, rape remains the most frequent type of sexual abuse, followed by incest and fondling. 98% of rape victims are women. The incest percentage is another alarming data: 33%. ● 98% of these sexually abused children are girls. The 2015 Child Protection Network Annual Report states that 87% of all cases of sexual violence are girls, 11.7% of which occurred in the family home.
